HURRRRY! You still may have time to exchange those 3.73's for some 4.10's! You should get your exhaust before getting any chip or turner. With one you can cancel the check engine light that is brought on by the lack of mils in ur exhaust. A chip should be closer to the end of your purchases, because you can get a custom burned to your cars specs upon completion. Save you a little money in the end.

I disagree, since he is going to be getting gears and an O/R midpipe, he might as well get the tuner now. That way he wont have to buy the speedcal or the mils. He can always retune after his mods are complete cant he?

Speedcal = $100
Mils = $70

I dont think it would be too bad of an idea for a tuner now...

Dont get any of those crap chips. Superchips, Hypertech, Jet, all suck. If your going to get a chip get one that actually does something ie. Diablo Predator, SCT-Xcal2.

+1, are the other ones even cheaper than the diablo/SCT?

Back when i bought my hypertech it was $339 and so was superchips and everything else was $399... if i had to do it all over again i would NEVER buy the cheaper of the two.

Sorry to take over the thread but how is the SCT X-CAL 1 compared to the newer X-CAL 2? I mean I know the 2 has the programmer and the data logging capabilities and stuff but you can tweak the 1 on the PC w/ software you D/L from the SCT site. I mean for $100 less, will I get by w/ the X-CAL 1 or should I just go with the 2?

If i was you i would get the SCT Xcal2 because you can install a 2 step tune on it. Which works wonders when you go to the track. call up Modular Powerhouse talk to Tim and ask for the N/A Tune. From what ive heard it works wonders.

Well, he can get a tuner whenever he wants, but it'll still cost him everytime he wants a burn. BTW...SCT is the win!
