Default GT or Cobra....

If I plan to supercharge a 4.6, is worth going the extra mile and charging the 4 valve engine. On the Procharger website they have a stock 2 valve 4.6 with only a Procharger and a catback running 12.13. How much better would the 4 valver be under the same condtions?

In case your wondering....I am doing a little research for my next vehicle...I think I want the Cobra but am looking for some feedback.

I would go with a 97cobra Supercharged. It would cost around 10gs for the car with roughly 50-65k on it. Also, I would go with the Kenne Bell 9psi supercharger. For one, they look much cooler, and they clean up the engine bay. Also, you will need to buy the Boost-a-pump system which allows you to increase fuel output without a new fuel pump. Be ready to re-do the suspension system too. Also, with the KB S/C, you will be looking at around 450+hp.

I'm amazed if the have a procharger and a catback that runs 12.13. no way in hell that they don't have more mods than that. at least some sort of suspension work.

It's one of their videos where they test a supposedly stock 4.6. I don't think they said how much boost and didn't mention any dyno #'s. It did have drag slicks on it and the suspension seemed stock since it bounced quite a bit when the guy shifted.

Kenne bell says that a built 2v will run better than a built 4v. I dont remember where I saw that, but if u got the $$$, id go with 2v. It would be more of a sleeper, the car would be cheaper, and mods are alot cheaper.

KB FAQ's mentions that some of the 99 to 01 4 valve motors have valve sealing issues under boost which causes them to give up some hp. That could be what you mean.

I believe the 99 and 01 Cobras had issues, thats why they didnt build one in 02.
