Heh, I would love to have a cobra.. No doubt.
Just make sure you have the money to mod it out, because they cost a lot more than a GT to mod... Just a heads up =)

If i had a choice all over again...I would go with the 99 Cobra....Both car's are pretty much the same in the Quarter....Wait before anyone blast me and i will explain why....
The Cobra has the IRS and it's really tricky to launch, even though it has 320 hp there's a ton of wheel hop....You will really have to know your car to get those cars into the 13's and it's not because of the power it's just a matter of finding out what rpm range is best for your cobra....
The GT on the other hand despite having a 60 hp disadvantage has enough torque to keep up with the high reving Cobra over a short distance....
Now on topend it's a completely different story.....The Cobra will completely smoke the GT anything after 100..

I think not...A half a second is alot in the quarter and these cars are really close in the quarter. The absolute best i've seen for a 99-01 cobra has been 13.7's@ about 102.....
99-01 cobra's have a higher trap speed....but that heavy IRS and wheel hop keeps it from putting all that power to the ground...thus giving that GT a chance.....With my experiences it's a drivers race in the quarter...after that the Cobra will start to pull away and pull away fast....

I've done it and so have other people...so what's your point....You act like 99-01 Cobra's run 13's every time there on the track...Well let me tell you this.....They don't.
I can show you several of them running low 14's just like the GT's....Infact i can show you more arcticles of GT's in the 13's than the 99-01 Cobra's.

Looks to me that with equal driving the Cobra is about a 1/2 sec quicker in the 1/4.....make sense to me.
