I'd wait for the 07 Cobra to come out. Well worth the wait if you have the money.

Are you kidding? First of all you will not find one at MSRP second if it was at $45k and he put down the same $12k and have a 5 % interest rate for 60 months it's $623 a month. And, insurance will be pathetic on it!

No, I'm not kidding. When he first asked the question, he asked if he should wait for the new Cobra GT500 to come out. And I say yes he should. And if he was gonna keep the car, he could get the loan for 72 months instead of 60. How are you doing this figures? If your not adding taxes and the interest over a 12 month period, each year he will owe less and less on the car and you take the interest rate every 12 months from the premium.

Well I know its nothing special, but i would get a Bullit Mustang, I love the lines of the body! But since its for you, get the mach1, Best of both worlds. You'll have a better drag suspension, and the bad lil 4v.

Just keep your GT and start modding it. Save the Cobra until after college, when you are better equipped to deal with the insurance rates... but to answer your question: I think the 03/04 Cobra's are 10x nicer than the new Shelby.

As for the question about wind noise in the '04 vert...... You will notice a difference going from your hardtop to it, but it is very, Very marginal. They are nothing like the old fox bodies when it comes to windnoise....

My insurance jumped a whopping $100 for the entire year going from a GT to a Cobra. Wasn't a big difference at all.
