I Live in NY and i wasnt sure and wanted to know if it possible to get a speeding ticket without getting pulled over like i a cop see you going over the speed limit do u have to be pulled over in order to get a ticket or can he just get your plates

yes you can get a ticket, cops can estimate your speed within 2mph of you actual speed

yeah some places have Camera's that take a picture and ur speed. then they send you a ticket through the mail.

yep. Don't have to pull you over neccessarily anymore. It's absolutely gay. Just save your lead footed-ness for country roads or the track, it sounds gay too for me to say that but I learned it the hard way. I drive my stang like a grand paw, I know it's pretty fast I have nothin to prove by speeding.

Was it New York City? In Staten Island they have speed cameras set up on Staten Island. If in another part of the State I don't know about the speed cameras. But if you did not get pulled over then it's just a fine, no points. The ticket is aimed at the vehicle's owner, just like the red light camera's

Yea here they time you on the toll roads. So from the time you enter the first gate to the second is calculated to give a speed, and they send the ticked through the mail.
