Silence is golden......in your interior
I feel like "hints from Heloise this morning" so here goes: squeeks in shift bezel and radio/AC panel trim. When you pop off the trim around your shifter you will notice 4 wires, one, cigarette lighter, one rear defrost, on trac control, one fog lamps. These wires tend to rattle and make noise as well as the panel. remove both panels from car, they pop out on spring clips. Spray white lithium grease into all the holes the spring clips enter, including the top plastic catches on top of the AC duct (one of my cold morning annoyances). Around the wires in the console (the three amigos and cig lighter) apply adhesive foam weather strip ($3.00 a roll, 3/4" by 3/8" thick) by sandwiching the wires in between adhesive to adhesive. Any other places of close wire contact do the same, stick the stuff any where you might see a plastic to plastic rub as well. Im finished by carefully lubricating the little rubber "feet" on my AC bezel assembly. One week, no noise, even on Coooold mornings. If you stiffen and lower your suspension, as I did, you WILL exacerbate the noises. Good luck,
John
