Default Turning OverDrive on and off

I was just wondering if it hurts the car if I keep turning overdrive on and off, lately ive been seeing what I like better if it is on and off, when I race someone I like to have it off and when I hit about 75mph I turn it back on.

I also like having it off when I just cruise around because the car runs at higher RPM and really sounds good, I know it doesnt help at all with the gas but thats least of my worries, I am just wondering if in the long run it will ever hurt my engine or trans?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this is a repost or a dumb question, im new

I don't think so. But hey, if it does... my tranny is gonna end up just like yours. So you won't be alone. lol.

That'd help him, but hes asking about overdrive--not traction control.

lol. Yeah.

I keep the o/d off all the time usually since I'm not really over 70-75mph anyway.

I'm always playing around with my OD button too. Mostly when I'm not over 50 mph.
