Default cannot get a good track launch

I've had my 99 cobra conv since september 05 and can't seem to get a good launch at the track. I've put my psi down to 17psi in the rear and 50psi in the front. varied my launch between 1800 & 2500. I had clogged cats so the dealership put a new factory h-pipe on. My 60' time needs a lot of work. One problem is I have ****ty Dunlop SP Sport FM901 tires. They have no grip, and doing a burnout in the box doesn't smoke the tires at all.

I need some tips on a better launch. Below is a page with my timeslips.

Wow, that's bad dude. I'm running better times in an 00 GT vert. Your trap speed should be higher than that. You're messing something up.

Looks like it's time to do some suspension work.....have you looked into upper/lower control arms, sub-frames, etc? Those would help out.....

1. Don't drop the psi in street tires.. Especially that low.
2. NO need for a burnout with street tires. Just a quick spin to clean them off.

Get some sticky tires, that'll help your 60 foot.. The IRS seems like it is kicking you in the rear big time.

That is your first mistake, STAY OUT OF THE WATER if you are a regular street tire, drive around the water completely and do a very very short burnout (just enough to clean the tires off). Trying to put heat into a regular radial tire will make them greasy and will hurt your times, they are simply not like a race compound tire and the rubber reacts differently to heat. Next when you line up try to stage as shallow as possible (pull forward untill you just barley turn on the staged lights), this will allow you to have more roll out (bascily a short rolling start) and will give you a slightly better 60 foot time. You should be slipping the clutch quite a bit on a regular tire, and this is where practice come in to play. Play around with different rpms and clutch tecniques to find what works best.

and bring up the rear tire pressure a little bit, its hurting your trap speed.
