Default new bolt on's and dyno numbers.

I just got back from the dyno. I was hoping for some better numbers. But i guess this is probably pretty normal. I have just been seeing so many high HP numbers with people from the same mods. I was thinking it would be around 260rwhp.

Here is my info:

1st dyno last year with Borla cat back, welded in X in place H on stock pipe, Underdrive pullies----> 236/278 hp/tq

this week i added: Accufab 75mm TB/Plenum, Demolet CAI, Catted magnaflow X pipe, and XCAL 2 mail order tune by MPH.

Todays results: 250/290 hp/tq

So obviously all the claimed no's by companies are no where as high as they claim you will get on a N/A 4.6L car.

I read on here somewhere, that you shouldnt go right after you install new mods because your computer/car needs to re learn and get the max out of the mods. Any truth to that? Think it would get any better?

That sounds about right. A full bolt on GT will be in the 260 range. You are doing pretty well.

Actually, most hp claims by companies are for supercharged applications, i.e the 03/04 cobra. You did about expected for the mods you have, just makes you want to mod more, huh?

i'd say if you got some long tube headers you would be close to 270rwhp or alittle above that.

So much for people arguing about TB/Plenum getting you upward of 20-30hp. HAH
