The install will run you around $300. They're not hard to do yourself...if I had known how easy they were to do at the time, I'd have done it. They are quite expensive though, I got lucky and got mine used and then sent it off to Vigilante for their free "freshening up" and re-stall they do. They'll do it once for up to two years after original purchase. It's Precision Industries, btw.

I only had full exhaust and a stall and gained .5 second in just the 1/8 mile. It's an awesome mod. I have a video of my car after I first got the stall if you're interested in seeing what it's like to drive one. Mine was a 3600 stall.
that would be cool to see ur video

Car was perfectly normal driving on the street. It took me all of 5 minutes to get used to it. It was absolutely the best thing I ever did to the car back then...well, that and nitrous.

Let me see if I can find the video. If I don't have it on this computer, I know I have it at home.

It was on my LS1.

so, 4:10 gears + tuner, a shift kit, and a stall converter..

how much money TOTAL are we talking about, and how much time off of the quarter?

gears + tuner i think are $600 together.. install lets say $300, so $900 total. what about the shift-kit and stall converter?

man, this is expensive.. shoulda just gotten a cobra.

For racing, you hold the brake, get the RPMs higher and then let go of the brake while taking the accelerator to the floor. The idea is you car makes more power at higher RPM than where you can hold it at when stock. The high stall convertor lets you be at the higher RPM when it starts to pull. I have a vid in the vid section (many others may also) where you can see the car lift up at the start line before going, that is when I am raising the RPM to the stall level.

For an SN95 you will need either a speed cal or speed sensor gears. 99+ can change it with a tuner. Its the same on the v6, GT, and Cobra, doesnt matter if its auto or manual, its the same either way.

so you hold the break in...raise the rpm a bit...then let off the break and smash it correct? why wouldn't this just make your tires spin a bunch??
