what would be a downside to the 4.30s in an auto as a DD? anything?

you would completely "loose OD". i dont mean that literaly but try driving without OD and that is what 4.30s would be like.

So I have decided to go with atleast 4.10 in my Mustang (t45). I have decided to side with the people who HAVE gears and tell me from experience that it doesn't affect mileage that much, than listening to a mass of retarded who bad-mouth lower gears because they have listened to myths and are passing them on. So why dont people opt to go with 4.30 instead of 4.10? On the highway it doesnt seem much of a difference. I used a calculator and I saw that with 4.30 at 70mhp, you will only be 150RPM higher than if you have 4.10s. So what is it about them that turns people away? I have only seen a couple people that had 4.30s. Is first gear too short? Is too hard to launch? Does it make daily driving a pain in the *** or somethin? Anybody know why this isnt a very popular gear?

Also another question. Why do people call 4.10 gears 4.11s all the time? I always wondered this....
You have a 2001.. You have a 3650 tranny.

Great info. Im guessing that you know more than he does about his own car?????

4.10s at 70mph = about 2,300 rpm
4.30s at 70mph = about 2,400 rpm

Not much of a difference. I enjoy my 4.10s but i think i would enjoy 4.30s even more.

how good are 4.10 on an auto?? would it wake my pony up a lot more??
Yes, get them now and a tuner or speedcal to fix the speedo.
wrong again....can't use a speedcal on 99-04 autos...only 96-98 autos
