Default 4.10 vs 4.30

So I have decided to go with atleast 4.10 in my Mustang (t45). I have decided to side with the people who HAVE gears and tell me from experience that it doesn't affect mileage that much, than listening to a mass of retarded who bad-mouth lower gears because they have listened to myths and are passing them on. So why dont people opt to go with 4.30 instead of 4.10? On the highway it doesnt seem much of a difference. I used a calculator and I saw that with 4.30 at 70mhp, you will only be 150RPM higher than if you have 4.10s. So what is it about them that turns people away? I have only seen a couple people that had 4.30s. Is first gear too short? Is too hard to launch? Does it make daily driving a pain in the *** or somethin? Anybody know why this isnt a very popular gear?

Also another question. Why do people call 4.10 gears 4.11s all the time? I always wondered this....

They usually go with 4.10's because 4.30's require you to shift alot more and quicker then the 4.10's. 4.10's actually give you some time in between gears. I have the 4.30's in my car and i can tell you that first gear is useless especially if you cant get any traction like my car. It doesnt make it a pain in the *** it just gets frustrating with all the shifting all the time. But i love the 4.30's and wouldnt have it any other way. On the highway now, there not that great on the highway especially if you have a loud exhaust it will get annoying at the least but its all good.

because there idiots and dont know **** about fords lol....4.10s are a ford rear end gear ratio and 4.11's are a chevy rear end ratio lol..

4.10s=8.8" rear
4.11s=9" rear

oh and just a note, 4.56s are only about 200 rpms different from 4.30s SN-95s have an OD ratio of about .68 so we normally do 4.10s, the 05s have .62 i beleive so you can do 4.30s on them, im not sure on the foxes but i know its shorter, probably .7something so they normally do 3.73s.
