i have 315/35 nitto 555 r's. they are great on the street i mean hook up completely but at the track they kinda suck. i did manage a 1.81 60' on them with stock suspension but every other time is something from 1.9-2.2. my next tire will be the nittos again mainly because of the life you get outta them. they last awhile and i will move on to a slick that i will mount on for just the track in the near future.

I use the BFG g-force T/A DR's, it has a slightly softer sidewall and is what people use in the faster cars. The 2 was made in sizes over 18 inch to cater to the bling big rim crowd. As anyone who runs at the track much will tell you that a tire with more sidewall will hook better than one with short sidewalls

Dilo- yeah i was dead set on the nittos because of the life and the fact that most of my racing happens on the street... but i would also like to get some traction at the track since i am finally going to start going... but for daily driving i would go with the nitto's hands down

JD- ok thanks exactly what i wanted to know...do they make some that will fit my 17x10.5 rims i havent found any that are 315/35/17 ... do you know of a place that has good prices on them besides tirerack?

also what size tire fits the 17x9 thanks

275/40/17's I just got a set of the BFG T/A 2's... here's a couple pics. I'll be squeezing them on 17x8's, but they will fit better on your 17x9's.

they are WIDE and sticky as hell. I'll get them mounted this week when my wheels come in.

I dunno... the bfg's and 4.10's.... you may want to get nitto's just for your rear ends sake.

i think my rear will be able to handle it when i install

torque box reinforcements
31 spline moser axles
31 spline ford t-lok

what do you think?

also does anyone know if BFG makes tires to fit my 10.5's like 315/35/17 or something?

You know what I had it mixed up I have the 2's and the otherones are the bigger diameter ones.
This explains it. Sorry for the mistake
NOTE: In order to further differentiate the renamed Comp T/A Drag Radial from the existing g-Force T/A Drag Radial (that features a directional tread design), The Tire Rack will identify the renamed Comp T/A Drag Radial as the "g-Force T/A Drag Radial-2".

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e1=yes&place=6

these are the correct tires right JD? i always heard they cost more than Nitto's... Also i was going to get some nitto's 275/45/17 for my 17x9 fronts ... is there another tire that would look good with the BFG's ? thanks
