They look ugly in my opinion.

It's part of the 35th anniversary package that came on some 99s. They also had silver leather seats and part of the inside door was painted silver. It looks ok on some cars and not on others. A few people have done custom jobs where they just put flat black vinyl between the taillights and I hontest thought it looked cleaner and better than the honeycomb.
