Default sell 96 gt for newer car?

i am starting to plan mods for my 1996 gt and i am looking at how much it will cost me to get where a newer mustang is at. i am wanting 300rwhp and then like a 100 shot of nitrous on top of that. well i was concidering do a pi head swap but i think it will cost to much. my car is in excellent shape and only has 50,000 miles on it so i dont know what to do. i was thinking about saving my money until this summer and then selling my car for a newer 1999- 2004 mustang. is this a good option? i figure it would cost me more than $1000 to get my car where a 1999-2004 is hp wise so i figure might as well get a new car for that price. i do have 4.10 gears in my car though. but if i saved til this summer i could get 3 or 4 grand and then sell my car for $7000 maybe. that would be like $10000 to spend on a new car. so what do you think i should do?
thanks

id honestly sell it, as much as i love sn95s it will be easier to just get a 99+gt and juice that. you can get a good 99+ gt for 8 or 9 grand, 7 grand for your 96 is pushing it though.

Pick up an SN95 cobra for the same price range.. start with more HP to begin with

.. but.. I may be just a tiny bit biased about that.

Yeah, I would sell it then mod a 99+. The only bad thing is, you`ll only get about 5500 for your car if your lucky.

these cars seem to sell high in my area. i looked in the paper and it seems all the mustangs are kind of high. the guy i bought my car from was asking $8000 for it. i think i should be able to get $7000 i hope.

That would be a good plan if you could find one with low miles in good condition for a good price. But I personally like the newer body style A LOT more

Do they go by KBB or NADA in your area? If its NADA, then you will get more.

unless you really pefer the newer car's style take the 3000-4000 dollars and invest in a s/c. This will put you well beyond the 99-04 numbers. I believe I saw vortech has a nice +100 hp kit that includes everything for under 4k.
