Default Boooo @ Mustangs!!!!

Well guys.
I know I will probably catch TONS of HEAT for creating this thread.
but I must say- I'm not to happy with Mustangs right now (well GT's anyways)
You see my signature...
well since then I have added...
K&N CAI
BBK TB and PLEN (P&Pd)
UD Pulleys
and just put on a o/r H pipe. (didn't want the X, due to deep sound of H)

and so I go to the track...
and my Time DID NOT CHANGE!
still running 13.6's (mid to high exactly the same)
my trap increased ONE mph on 2 runs.
and can't say well maybe its your driving this time compared to last... b/c I have an AUTO tranny.

I am just fed up, pissed off.

I have
4.30 Gears
LC Arms
Big Drag Radials
UD Pulleys
PLEN
TB
CAI
MIDPIPE
TUNER

every basic BOLT ON you can do to a GT. except Catback.
and I am still not even low 13's yet... that's SAD! for a "sports/muscle/whatever you want to call it" car.

I am gong to install the converter (2800 stall) and hopefully that will take me to low 13's.... but at this point in time I just don't even see that happening.

any comments/suggestions for me?

So your running your induction mods and midpipe with the restrictive catback? A catback usually doesn't add much horsepower at all in stock form, but with the mods you have done, your just restricting it with the 2 1/4" stock pipes when the aftermarket kits are usually 2.5", plus higher flow mufflers. On top of that, you don't really have any BIG horsepower modifications. Put longtube headers on that thing, and I'm sure you'll notice a major increase.

You still have a few bolt-ons you can do, you've only scratched the surface. The 4:30 gears probably made the largest improvement in that 1/4mile time. And think about it, your getting near the stock Mach 1 times. They have quite the horsepower advantage, and usually pull low 13's from what I've heard. With those mods, your probably lucky to be getting 260HP out of it at the wheels, if even that. Get the longtube headers and at least get that catback setup, your only restricting it.

^No... I heard LT headers actually HURT a GT with STOCK HEADS.
I have read this and heard this now thru many people.
B/c yes of course...
I had plan'd on getting LT Headers, Midpipe and Catback.

what more is there to get besides catback?
without of course "going into the engine" like Cams, heads etc...
there is really nothing left for me... except catback.

I will put on catback(LM2's most likely) and my converter... and see if that puts me in low 13's.
JUST VERY SAD, IF YOU ASK ME.

thanks for the tips tho.

first off i cant believe you are still running 13.6 you should be lower than that... def. get a convertor you will def. tell a differance along with the convertor get a shift kit... and finish your exhaust setup you will def be low 13 if not high 12's... good luck man
