the lt1 6speed will run high 13's low 14's... depending on driver/conditions...
int he test....

the 93 z28 Romp'd it.
the z28 ran a 13.89 and the cobra ran a 14.4(or 14.3)
and I have seen them at the track not so many now (but quite a few years ago, run STOCK high 13's like 13.9s all the way to low 14's like 14.2's)
99+ mustangs can run with one in 1/4 mile... its a close match.
and most of the time the lt1 f-body will trap higher and also beat the 99+ GT top end wise.
The 6speed lt1 z28's came with 3.42 Gears...
and yeah they had 275hp... and 325 torque
mustang gt 99-04 has 260 and 302 torque
and do not have as steep of gears either.

having owned a 94 LT1 vette triple black with a 6 speed, i know that they have a super duper long throw. the acceleration isnt quite what youd expect for 300hp/350lbft, but the camaros are dumbed down a bit to 265, so i think you should be able to take him, remeber, your car is about 200-300lbs lighter than his also.

well its official....we went down to a road far from eveyone, and raced, and i beat him by 1 1/2 car lengths.....we raced from a dig...and probably beat him by 4 car lengths...no lie...thanks guys...and i do have the stage 2 clutch now, and gettin 4:10's by spring...thanks everyone
