So will my friend's FOX spank me??? (99GT)
My friend keeps bothering me to race him (when we pull our cars out of storage in a couple months). He has a 90 LX - full exaust, CAI, CF clutch, electric fan mod, 5-spd, 70k miles on it. I have a 99GT no HP significant mods, 5-spd, 30k miles.

I say you will beat him, but people on here are getting out of hand on how fast a 180rwhp FOX is, so who know. Pretty much you are a 14 sec car and he is a 3 second car.

A car that wieghs less than 3100 pounds and makes 300 FT/LBs of torque (flywheel) doesn't need a ton of RWHP to move on out. God I hate airbags and saftey equipment
BTW, where are you getting 180 RWHP?? The good ole .15 rule puts him at around 195 stock. Figure maybe 20 RWHP with his mods (w/ longtubes anyway) he is setting at 215 RWHP. And honestly, if the A/F ratio is still good, he could be making more than that. Hell, I picked up more than 20 RWHP with my exhaust, and mine looked less restrictive than a foxbodys.
A 215 RWHP LX notch is WAY to much car for a stock 99 GT to handle. You gotta figure you weigh more the 200 pounds more than him. On the other hand, the exaust could have thrown the tune way off and it could run like ****.
Race em and find out, then post it on here !

what yr is your car? my 98 had steeda timing/ exhaust/cai...it barely made 216/262

3300lb GT vs a 3000lb LX.
Anywhere from 5.3-5.5 second 0-60 for the 99GT and 6.1-6.3 for the LX depending on where you get your statistics, even will full exhaust it won't drop nearly a second off it's 0-60 and nothing more than .3-4 off it's ET if they are lucky.
The 99GT will mop the floor with the LX.
This is just going to get beat to death, again.
