How Dark?

Check your laws, some cops are DICKS.
In NJ, where I am, tinting is completely illegal. I have a 25% tint. Its black as black at night, and very dark in the day.
Ive been pulled over twice, JUST for the tint. No tickets, but just remember, you can be pulled over JUST for them, without question.
Im not discouraging it, hell I love it... I would never change my tints. I just giving you a heads up.

And in my area, 35% tint is the legal limit, and no shops are allowed to put on any tint darker than that. However my sister had way darker than the legal limit (not sure the percentage) and got pulled over for it alteast once every couple months. This was probably because her car had a big spoiler, bodykit and loud exhaust so it was sure to stick out more..

RE: How Dark?
Here in MD, I believe the limit is 35% (for cars). I have 20% on my truck and 2000 Mustang and it looks ok. If I had to do it over again, I'd go 5% for the Mustang. It's not my daily driver, so less chance of getting pulled over.
35% is way too light for my tastes. You might as well have no tint than 35%. 20% looks very dark at night, and kind of cool during the day.

RE: How Dark?
Thanks for all the responses they are very helpful. My mustang is my daily driver so I think I will be going with 20% (state limit is 35%). Any way could someone with 20% post a pic so I could see what it looks like on a mustang?
o and as a side note, do you all recomend getting the strip of tint across the top of the windshield?

RE: How Dark?
20% is a good choice. It's dark enough so that you can't see in, but not so dark that you can't see out. I have 5% over the stock tint. The highway patrolman said it measured 3%. It looks badass, but I can't see out of it very well at night[]. For pics, look in my gallery.

you have 30 days from the time you move to switch your license and plates.
and pa's limit is 70% but i think stock might be darker than that.

RE: How Dark?
check my cardomain, I have a 97 with 35% all around. My state limit is 50%, so if you went with 20% you should be fine just dont get too far way from the limit and you should not have to worry.
