Default Another exaust question for ya's ....

I currently have catback Flowmasters, everything else is stock (thats the way I bought it). Does it make sence to keep the flowmasters and change all other components or just get new exaust front to back?

Keep the flows unless you want to change them.. You won't get any benefit of spending another $400 on another catback.

Why would you want to ditch the Flow's? When I bought the Mustang the first thing I did was put in Mandrel bent 2.5 inch piping from the stock h-pipe back with the Flowmaster Delta 10 series. Tonight I am going to put in an O/R x-pipe. I think it is going to sound great, I will post a sound clip, probably Monday, with just the Flows, and then with the X-Pipe and Flows so you can compare and then think if you just want to "improve" the flowmasters.

i personally dont like flows. but if you already have them on there, dont change them unless your unhappy with the sound. if you want a midpipe get that first, then see what the car sounds like, then later on down the road if you want to change the catback.

Yeah, I'm just looking to gain some HP. Gonna change the headers and all the rest of the goodies. I just don't know how the FLowmasters compare to other brands (in terms of restrction). People in general seem go in favour of SLP or Mag catbacks.

You might gain 1-2 hp with a straight thru muffler.. Nothing to justify the cost of a new catback.

Keep the Flows and slap on an O/R H or Prochamber. The sound is unbeatable in my opinion...
