rear brake pad change
anyone know how in the world do you compress the piston into the caliper? i read some where that you're supposed turn it instead of using a clamp and that isn't working. anyone ever did it? thanks

I did mine at the base hobby shop (Im military). It's a device that rotates it while pushing down. You might be able to jury rig something with some needle nose pliers and a c-clamp. Be careful though, you need to make sure the caliper piston is aligned properly or you will damage you're brakes.

i got a tool at autozone. its a 1" cube that has patterns on it and one of them fits in the two indents on the piston and you turn it with a ratchet. works good it you use a C-clap on it also.

thanks everyone, but i'm already finished. i used a vise grip locked on to the outside of the piston and turned it while using brute force to push it in while i turned. only thing my hand brake is still loose and i can't find where i'm supposed to adjust it

it should adjust just by pulling the handle up and releasing it. there actually is a tool made for the fords that is round with 2 pins to lock into the piston of the caliper kd tools is the most inexpensive one. pretty sweet tool to use
