Default need suggestions please

I have a magnapack cat-back system but I havn't done anything else to my '04 GT. I will probably have between $300-$500 to spend. I am pretty much open to any suggestions. Just some information to help with any suggestions yall might have. I have a MT. I live in VA and have to have cats to be legal. Also I use the car as my daily commuter. Thank yall for your input.

Get some 4.10`s. Very good 1st mod. You will notice a huge difference.

How will 4.10's affect my milage? Also I havn't even put a K&N on yet. Should I get a FIPK first? If so, how about a TB & plenum combo to go along with it? I just want a general consensus of opinions.

What are you looking to do and what kind of driving do you do every day?
I would go with just a cone K&N filter or an ebay CAI for around 50 bucks and not mess with the TB&Plenum yet. Gears are great but you have to kind of tailor them to your driving style and needs.. you wouldnt want to go 4.30's if you have a 60 mile each way drive every single day. Most people will loose 2-3mpg on 4.10's and on my previous cars when I was making a longer commute to college every day I noticed a 1-2mpg drop on 3.73s.

Gears are a good first mod as you will notice the biggest difference from them. After that its all about making your car breathe with intake/exhaust mods. I would personaly do the CAI, followed by exhaust before you do a tb and plenum.. Nothing tops the sexy sound of a mustang with a nice mid pipe and deep sounding mufflers

you already have the catback, which is good. now i would get a good cai, then tb& plenum. since i put on cai & tb/plenum, i've noticed an increase in mileage. oh yeah, gears also.

Gears and a set of drag radials would really wake up the car.

From what I hear, if I get gears, I will need a tuner. Is that correct? Reason being that gears affect the speedo. I know that a that a tuner is uaually is about $300 then I would have to factor in the gears plus install. My wife will probably shoot me if I spent that much, but I ask because I dont know.
