Default 70 or 75mm TB? Maybe a silly question..

When spring rolls around...should I get a 70 or 75mm TB? And does one give more hp than the other? (even if it's only like 2hp)

a lot of people say to go 70mm if you don't have a supercharger, but from the information i've seen it's convincing me to go 75mm - from the charts i've seen, and from what some of the garages around here have told me...

hahaha. funny you ask. when i was getting my car thrown on the dyno last month, the guy there said you really won't see anything with a new TB if you don't get the 75.

what kind of mods do you need to even see reasonable power with a TB/plenum setup?

Well full exhaust would defenitely be preferable. I was going to go with a 75 mm acufab a couple weeks back but as I thought about it logically I realized all that extra air wont do much with the restrictive stock exhaust. If I were you I'd hold off till I get a mid pipe at least, preferably until you get headers. Now I don't have an aftermarket t/b or plenum so i really can't speak from experience but when you think about it it really makes sense to wait. O and also you'll want a better intake system or at least a drop in k/n filter because if you look at the stock filter system it's completely rediculously restrictive

Edit: BTW 03redGT i noticed in your mods list you have 02 cobra tails...when you get some pics lemme kno because I had no idea there was a difference lol.

They have amber colored turn signals unlike regular gt's where they have only red.

Edit: Forget to add. BBK 75mm/C&L plenum.
