Just my opinion, but if you spend 20K and end up running only 800 RWHP you arn't thinking things thru.

If I was gonna go ALL out, I would definatly go with a 4v setup. Or maybe a 408 stroker swap
Actually with the setup I'm looking at; up to 1000rwhp would be possible, but keeping boost lower I think I will encounter less problems. The 20+k estimate includes all upgrades including suspension, transmission, clutch, tires, brake upgrades, etc. I want something that's not going to break and might actually hook up when I press the gas. I may actually go 4v, but not sure its even worth it. what do I care if I have a 800hp 2v or 4v? I paid less than 10k for my car so I figure if I put 20 into it, I got one hell of a sports car for less than 30k.

My personal opinion is to do a single turbo setup... less parts, and if you know what you are doing, you can make your own kit. Everyone acts like welding is hard to do and are all scared to build their own setup. Want some help? Check out www.boostang.com... Anyway, turbo cars are easy... As long as you get a turbo with the correct compressor map (t70, t72, or t76), 42 lb. injectors, air/water ic, new cams, a lil head work, EGT's on each bank, then a wideband on the downpipe of the turbo, and a custom tune... you can easily make 500 horse on a stock motor, SAFELY. If I remember correctly, 11 psi is a safe number on a stock engine. So go 8 or 10...
I was thinking about a single turbo, but spool up times on a larger turbo will give me some lag I won't get with the tt. However because it will be a street car not a race car the price may outweigh the drawbacks. Still alot up in the air, but I got some cash and a hole in my pocket. I just want to make sure I take my time and I don't regret what upgrades I made.

If you want less boost, run higher compression... that solves that deal.

That is a misconception... Spoolup only matters because of the A/R on your turbine side of the turbo... If you get a small A/R, you will have very quick spoolup and to make up for the flow, get a very large wastegate... A good example would be a .84 A/R and a 46 mm wastegate for a single setup.

if you are going to spend 20K on your car and not do a 4V(unles you want a 2V motor) you must be "Retarded" you will make sooooo much more hp out of a 4V then a 2V, i sujest you "Think" about this more.

very easy work. take your car, a cashiers check for $15K and bring it to my friend at fatal performance. they have a TT 2v stang doing 9.93 @ 133mph
SOunds like an easy solution, however I just think its so much cooler to actually take part in building your car. and 2000GT I am looking for some 0 down loans

this will mae your car a turn key rac car. a 9.93 race car! Code3GT spent 15K on his car and he is only pulling 12.40's
But I am pulling 12.40's on an N/A car with full weight and DR's.
