the whistle happens because the aftermarket plenum is bigger then the stock plenum so the holes dont line up perfect and a tad bit of air escapes creating a whistleing sound. It is perfectly normal to hear a whistling sound at half throttle.

I have K&N, BBK 75mm Throttle Body, and a C&L Upper Intake Plenum.


Absolutely no whistling or difference in air sounds whatsoever here. Of course my exhaust might be too damn loud to hear it, but I notice nothing.

I noticed a little bit of sound when I removed the air silencer (I just have a K&N). I really do think extra little sounds are cool as hell tho...

If you guys know that turbo diesel sound of turbo spool, that's exactly how it sounds at part throttle. If i WOT i don't hear it. The sound is faint and I don't always hear it. It really depends on the exact throttle position. I checked for leaks tirelessly and i can't find any so far.

The coolest extra sound I got, was removing the stock shifter and replacing it with the Steeda Tri-Ax. I removed the rubber bushings from the handle, and it made a HUGE difference in feel/sound. I can feel the vibrations more, and I can hear the tranny wind up and down. When I first heard it, I thought it was just badass as all hell. Now, I could NEVER go back to not hearing it.

It should be making more of a sucking sound than a whistling sound. If its more of a whislt then you probably have a leak somewhere. When i installed my Tb and plenum i had a minor leak, but i found it and tightened everything up and now its just more of a sucking sound. Go back and check everything just to make sure
