will explorer gears work in my stang

Hey I know there only 3.73's but if I can get em cheap, will these work in my rear end, the GT does come with an 8.8 right? I figure these are perfect cause I really don't wanna go with 4.10's cause I do a lot of highway driving, I believe my stock gears are 3.27's right?

Thats not really something you want to cheap out on.

yeah true, but gears are either ruined or excellent, as long as theres no chips or breaks there going to be just as good as a brand new set

i'd be pretty careful about buying used gears........they're really not that expensive.

just take what you were going to spend on those......then save 2 dollars a day......just put it in a jar out of sight.....you'll have enough for brand new gears in two months.

yeah they will work. I just bought 3.73 gear out of a 04 explorer for my stang. Like blacksvt said, they are either still good, or not. Just look at them well for wear,grooves, chips, stuff like that. If u can feel or visually seen wear Id pass and keep looking. I bought mine for 80$ used. Still probably wanna but new shims bearings and stuff.
