Default Used tires?

I need to get some new tires for my 97 GT with 17X9 chrome Cobra Rs. I only drive the car in the summer and try and stay out of the rain. Can you trust used tires? I guess you would want to look for even wear and for patches. Anyone had good luck with used tires? Thanks a lot.

When I drove a Civic I was broke and I put used tires on my car. They sucked and I had to buy used tires again shortly there after, maybe if you could pick the tires yourself. Remember, people took these tires off of their cars for a reason, like they were going bald.

i have ran some used tires
a lot of times a shop will end up with some used tires because someone comes in and wants to upgrade tires or they have one bad tire and get a whole set. we had rack upon racks of tires that we would pull off of trucks because the people would buy a new 4x4 and come get a set of mud tires. or you have one decent tire on a car and keep it when someone buys a new set.

Yeah, just don't get a set of goodyear Wrangler RTS's, there's piles of them at every tire place, like new, guess why. A lot of wrecked trucks that used them, OEM tire and they SUCKED. Do a little research on tire rack, also in the short run buy new, but use an H rated tire instead of the Z, save you some cash.

Just take a look at the tread wear. It's not a bad way to save some money.
