Governed??

I'm not much of a top end racer, but my car seems to give out at around 100-110 mph. Is there a governor i can deal with. Or is this because i have 4:10 gears. I need more speed!!!

RE: Governed??

There is no governor at 100-110mph, it will be upwards of 140mph.

Than why does my car cut out like that?

What RPM's are you at when you reach that speed? Does your car have a chip or a programmer? It is possible someone set the governor to 110. If so, your car would shut-off for a second and then kick back on, not too good for the motor I would imagine.

6ers are governed to 118, GTs to around 145. did you correct the speedo for the 4.10s?

RE: Governed??

even if the speedo is uncorrected it would read too fast when going with lower gears not too slow. eg. when it says 110 she would only be going....say 95mph
