Default RE: Where to buy gears and rebuild kit

i got a 94 gt adn just attempted to change ring and pinion gears and rebuild all the sleeves and bearings in it, and i just couldnt get it quite right so i limped it to trans n gear place i know to fix it up, so if u have never done it before on a ford 8.8 dont even attempt just take it to a shop, usually costs about 300 bucks for teh gear and kit together, and get a motorsport brand everyone i know and shop guy i know who rebuilds em all teh time on mustangs even says its the best for the mustangs even over richmond, and if you got an automatic get a 4.10 if you dont polan on driving on highway really, and if your gunna drive it a lot or a manul put a 3.73 in it. i got mine sqaured away but in the end just didnt feel right and i wanted a real pro to check it all out. also if you put a higher gear like that in it, then make sure they or you put a shift kit in if you have put one in your type of trans exactly before, or else car will shift too soon and will slip into the gears and be no point in having the gears. shiftkit is usually 100 bux bout 50 bucks for the labor, at least around here in indiana. ya im saving you a nightmare that i just got threw. Any other rearend gear questions let me know, and i can answer em.....well now i can

Ok thanks.. on the description for the bearing kit it says everything you need to rebuild the rear-end.. Does that include the clutches if they are worn out or do I need to get them somewhere else?

Ask for Bill. He'll give you a good price on everything you need.

I'm not affiliated with them, Bill is a friend of mine. Tell him Don the Zaino ***** recomended them.
