Status: online I rode in a buddys 05 STi and I'll tell you I was impressed we went through some mountain twisties and that car stuck to his line perfectly. I know my 'stang doesn't feel like that but I can carve those corners as fast as he was, drivers win races. oh and I saw a perfect '95 Cobra R race ready, suspansion and some minor engine mods, for like 22k a few months ago. Tell me that wouldn't handle som rice on a road course.
ya i hear you, those STI are FAST from a dig also! i rode in my buddies 06 STI with 4 people in it and about 3/4s gas my head was glued to the back of the seat (it was only 1st & 2nd gear) and was not comming off untill he let off the gas.

Thanks man, hands down I love mustangs. And to be quite honest, I wasn't aware they were the best for road coarses. I was just under the impression that an evo or an sti would have been the best choice.

I might stay sort of domestic and go with a Dodge Stealth which is the same thing as a 3000GT. 320ish hp out of a V6 isnt bad.
.....

And did you consider an S2000?!?! Those things are crazy. I drove one before I bought my Mustang and was very impressed. Handles like a dream and has one best feeling gear boxes I've ever had the pleasure of molesting...

S2000s handle but they make no power what so ever. When i test drove one it handles so good but all the power is up in the 8k-9k rpms range... pretty weak under 8k thought it was horrible design. Thats just my opinion.
