Ok I saw the sticky on idling problems and IAC, but my car is acting a little different. I installed a CAI this weekend. My car has never died before. After the car sat for a few hours on monday, i went to leave to go home and it would not stay running, i also heard a high pitched whine when i revved the car up, sounded like a vaccum leak, so i checked but nothing out of the ordinary. So i got it to the highway ran it and when the car warmed up it quit, noise and all, and today it runs like a champ. A friend said it could be a MAF because of the CAI install and the old MAf. Any suggestions. By the way are you supposed to use a different MAF with a new CAI?

you dont need a new MAF after a CAI install. A CAI will cause a whistle though, I think thats what you were hearing.

Double check to make sure everything is connected properly with no leaks....

Well when you install a CIA you are supposed to unhook the battery cables and hold them together for 30 seconds so that the ecm cam reset itself. You dont have to do this it just makes it quicker for the thing to work right cause the ecm is like wow im getting more air now wtf do i do. So its fine dont worry about that and the whistel is probly from the cia also. You should hear mine zing when i spray it its hillarious
