BAH! Can anybody tell me how to get off the old shifter? I have the bolts off but I cant pull it off there. Do I just pull really hard? I dont want to damage anything...

Put the shift **** back on and hit it from side it side.

Reinstall the shifter handle and shift **** for something soft to hit.. Do not pry the shifter front to back, but side to side. Steady pressure or soft smacks with your hand work effectively. Do not pull overly hard on the shifter. Take your time..
That's pretty much all the instructions from my MGW..
