Default Kenne Bell?

Hi everyone here is my question. If I was to add a 1.7L KB supercharger to a 99 Mustang GT what else would I need to get to use that power. I release a transmission, clutch, and drivetrain but what else would i need thanks. Also this car will be used for daily driving and some racing also I will be on a budget for the whole project.

hey man if your talking about the 9psi KB, you wont need anything really, just recommended to get a MAF and a TB, so you can better use all that air. oh and some cat backss too. but you wont need any serious mods unless you go over 9-12psi.

If he goes over 9 psi he will need to build his engine anyway. You will not need to change anything. Focus on air coming in and going out and you will be fine. The 1.7L KB is not too extreme.

so how much power should i be getting if I run 9 psi? Would I even need a transmission, clutch, or drivetrain for 9psi? and thanks for responding.

Da Boss...you will not need to do anything to your car with the 9psi kit. The kit comes with everything you will need and is meant to be safe with the stock engine, trans, etc. I have the 1.7L KB with all the options (Big Tube Kit, 90mm MAF, 75mm throttle body, cold air kit, etc) and it made 411.5 rwhp/423.7 rwtq with the KB tune on 93 octane.

The only other thing I can think of that you would need is a set of drag radials for the street. I had a set of Kuhmo Ecsta's on my car when I first installed the KB and I could spin the tires in practically any gear. The Nitto's really helped!

Here is my dyno sheet...

No, it honestly drives like stock until you mash the gas, then you better hold on for dear life.

Honestly, my wife has driven it before and after the KB install and she couldn't tell a difference (because she did not go into boost). When you are just driving normally, you would never even know you had the KB (except from the supercharger whine coming from under the hood).

You will love it!!
