Default Totally Dumb Question, seriously

I live in colorado and its like 20 degrees, I just got my chrome inserts for my black stang
soooo, should i want til its warmer to slap em on? I don't wanna compromise their longevity by being anxious and just throwing em on while its 20-40 degrees. Should i warm my bumper up with a hairdryer first? AAAAAAAND for cleaning the surface of my paint on the bumper before i install....would a polish be good? or should i just do a good soap and water cleanage.

Yeah I'm dumb

mine are probably 20, they arent that thick, but nothing like paper thin. no directions because i got the cheap kind =(
anyways thanks, i'll much appreciate it. I'll probably warm it up with a hair dryer because we wont see 60 degree weather for 2 months, lmfao.

Clean the area with some alcohol, it'll make the surface nice to adhere things to it.

don't matter how clean it is if it's freezing cold they won't stick.

do yourself a favor and wait........you'll get frustrated by how long it takes to heat it up with a hair dryer.

it will take you HOURS to get each spot to at least 60 degrees.......do yourself a favor and wait.

or find a heated garage.

i have a 400 watt halogen light i can post up behind my car for an hour on its own, and it'll probably bubble the paint if i put it too close for too long, which i wouldnt want to do. If tomorrow hits in the upper 40's, i'll give my little method a shot and see if i can get the bumper nice and warm to the touch, as if she was in the sun for 8 hrs, lol. I also have a heating pad, ill just slap that bamma jamma on there if the light doesnt work, that heating pad gets wickedly hot, I never go above setting 2, and theres 5.....i may just be a lil pansie though.

because i work at a speed shop, i get lots of parts in that are installed using the 3m adhesive. I warm up the surface, clean with soap and water, DRY, then use some PREP pads (alcohol pads), AND APPLY.
