the capicotors have nothing to do with that. They only act as a storage and smoothing unit. Once the capictors "fill" the current is drawn from the vehicles electrical system just as if there was not capicitor there at all. It is there for when there are "peak" draws on the system.

The mach 1000 sounds pretty good for a stock 4 year old system.

right, but it still cuts down on how often its pulling from the electrical system, giving the alternator enough time to charge the battery.
