Default Another DIY Question!

Does any one know if it is possible to which just the lenses out on headlight, the reason i ask, is a friend of mine gave a set aftermarket HID's but i can not get them to fit into my car, has anone ever used swapped the over? But any way i was wondering if i could take the nice pretty glass off of the HID set and put thoses lenses on my OEM set because i know they fit into my car. Somebody please help my headlights are old foggy and look awful!!

I don't want to buy some, more, i have a brand new set of HID's but they will not mount up to my car, even though they are made for my year model. I can't afford another set, so i was seeing if i could swap the glass out. Or find out how to mount them in my car.

the best thing to do about foggy head lights is to buff them out.

You can't just swap normal bulbs for HID ones. They require a special relay and a special igniter. It's not a filament bulb lit up by electricity, but a chemical reaction of metalic salts, charged by two diodes. Whole different ball of wax! You need the kit, my friend. There are really good ones on eBay. Good luck!

They sell lense buff pads at autozone, they install on your drill and have the polishing compound on them, the bit is included and it has 5 pads. its about $10.00.

96 cobra those things suck lol. We sell them at advance and i decided to try it. Works like ****.

It sounds as if shes calling the whole lens assembly hid. HID has nothing to do with the lens assembly. It is mainly just the bulb and the pigtails (wiring) going to the bulb.
