yep, you bogged down, i used to be able to hold my gt at around 1800 rpms, right on the virge of spinning at the tree, but i never ran with dr's with out the shift kit dont be discouraged man, if every night at the track was a great one, it would get dull quick.

everyone who has mentioned the bogging, has no way of explaining the horrible trap he said he got
what was it on your good run 94.7
and last night you never hit 93??
what could cause that,, other than bogging through the entire gear...lol. which even i was unalbe to manage

Because it's a flaming pile of ****! Last night was a disaster[:@] Let me start from the very begining about 3 hours before I even left for the track. When swapping out the Hankooks for the new BFG DR's, I was unable to remove the quad shocks. They were on so damned tight, that I couldn't break the nuts loose[:@] Damn rust. Then, while trying to rewire my overdrive button (due to poor soldering the first time) I blew a fuse that included the Blinkers, airbag and O/D. Sooooo, now I had to head to the track with the quad shocks still on and unable to turn off my O/D[:@]. I was already pissed before I even got there.
This dissapointment continued. Previously I bested an ashamed best of 14.6 @ 94.7mph with a 2.130 60'. Last night, even though I only got in two real runs tdue to delays and an unGodly amount of racers, I failed to even come close to a 14.6[:@]. My 60's were better with my street tires, and my trap speeds were down 2 mph[:'(].
To refresh the memory, since my last run I have added Upper & Lower CA's, new shocks/struts and the BFG T/A drag radial II's. It felt like my car was bogging, but I don't know why. Damn this auto SN95 vert and it's pussyass 281! I'm so pissed right now[:@]. I couldn't get on last night to post, I was too mad. This has ruined my week![:@]

the bogging would explain his low trap. just a bog at the start should be enough to hurt the trap speed. it sounds like he can't launch at high enough rpms to take advantage of the dr's. but what I don't get is why/how he could spin the dr's if he launched higher than 1200 rpms, cause I would think the dr's should still be able to grab at a little higher rpm, especially with control arms installed.

+1, but I think its the fact that he cant hold the auto with the brake at more than 1750 RPMS.
Honestly, emann you might do better not using the brake to hold the car with the DR's. I think you have a better chance just waiting and mashing the gas. R/T might suck a little but i think thats your best bet until you get a stall.

RE: So I'm gonna burn my car to the ground...
Sorry for the delay guys... I had to go to class.
Antiv6: I apologize. I was just looking for a more helpful responce
So, After class I take the car to a not so busy road that I have used frequently to practice launching the car. Blah blah blah it's an auto I know. Okay, I can hold the car to about 1600rpms or so. After that, it feels like they are slipping but I can't hear them spinning.... Of course I can't step out and see either. When I launched, I didn't get even the tiniest bit of chirp, which I will assume is the DR's doing their job. The thing is, the car still feels a bit sluggish until about 3500rpms or so. Then it runs like a champ. A 14 second champ, but a champ none the less. My question now is, why was my ET so damned high and my 60's still crappy? I found my slips which I cleverly hid from myself here on my desk
R/T .126
60' 2.129[:'(]
330 6.263
1/8 9.608[:'(]
MPH 73.59
1000 12.492
1/4 14.929[]
MPH 92.63 <-----WTF???

RE: So I'm gonna burn my car to the ground...
ive heard of a trick you can use to bring the rpm's up higher without spinning.
While at the line stage, put your foot on the brake, put the car in neutral, rev it up, this gives more vacum and you should feel the brake pedal sink alittle bit lower, then put it back in drive and you should be able to rev a little higher without spinning. I believe its called a break torque launch? I heard about this along time ago on another board and not sure if it actually works? Worth a try i quess?
"If your car has power brakes, you could apply the brake-torquing technique even better. At the starting line, shift your auto gearbox into neutral and floor the brake pedal with your left foot. Rev the engine once and quickly get off the throttle. You will feel the brake pedal sink further to the floor. This greatly increases the braking force. Now shift back into gear. You will now be able to rev up the engine even higher against the torque converter."
