Default now what

Just bought a 02 blk gt w/34,000mi. It has flowmaster mufflers with larger tips installed and the air silencer is removed that's it. I have an extra $500 to spend (need to buy quick wife is going out of town sat.) what would be the best option for performance or sound. I'm not sure with only mufflers welded in if a x pipe would be any help. Thanks for your help..

And X pipe would give you more performance and a better sound. But for 500 bucks, you might want to consider gears...

Thanks for the info. Just wondering were is the best place to buy and what brand of gears? This is my first mustang. I'm doing a lot of research but it gets confusing after a while like CAI no Hp gain to 10Hp gain what is it? Will any mid pipe fit with the flowmasters already installed ? Thanks

An intake will give you like 2-4HP. I'd just get a K&N if all you care about is the performance of it. And do you have a flowmaster catback? Or just weld-ins?

Definitely gears. Only prob is you'll need speedo adjustment afterwards.
