No doubt 4V is the way to go, but honestly how far do you really need to take it?? Isn't mid 11s enough??

If your going for an all out drag car, then go with a 4V, and make something crazy like 800 WHP after you spend 15+ grand modding it.

But if you want to keep it in the 400-500 WHP range the GT is more than capable, and lighter than the cobra.

put it this way. im not dis-satisfied with the gt. i just want to s/c it but 7 grand isnt the answer. thats just stupid. and a waste of money. anyone is better off buying a cobra for 7 grand on top of there gt. drive the cobra stock, change the tires and a few light mods. your runnin over 400rwh and your only spending like 1000$ on your mods. that isnt hard to afford. even if u pay out 400 a month in insurance and car payments. people living in west virginia can afford that. cmon now..

its just plain logic..

JMO......put the pros and cons down on paper. Absorb it, and then step away for a couple of days and revisit it.

Include ALL the costs associated with both cars.

I sent ya a P.M., but just so everyone else knows, MPH does a vortech kit INSTALLED for 4375! That is with a tune, install, and all the parts you need. You drop off the car, pay em 4375, and it comes back with a blower on it. (and you get a handheld SCT programmer)

I am doing the install myself. The worst part will either be dropping the gas take to replace the fuel pump, or punching/tapping the hole in the oilpan, but neither should be that bad. And they are saying all I need to do is drive to a dyno (taking it easy) to verify the tune is on. If it is off, then you adjust it with the handheld or they will send you a new tune over the net.

They say the estimated install time is 12 hours, so you are looking at two days if you have little automotive knowledge. It can easily be done if you have the time (and the patience) to have your stang out of comission for a couple of days, maybe a weekend. It's essentially a bolt-on that is just a little more involved. When you look at the install instructions (all the manufacturers have instructions on their sites) you will see that it is really not so bad.

is it really that hard to install a kb on the gt? plus id have to buy a bigger fuel pump.. and other accesories. the kb would eventually run me over like 8000 right?

i think it isnt even worth it..
no accessories for u to buy for the KB (IT IS THE ULTIMATE PACKAGE), comes with the boost a pump so no new fuel pump, comes with chip so u dont need a tune. comes with injectors. all for 5k for the intercooled one and 4k non intercooled. for 5k u get it all, i would suggest the intercooled one. I myself am working on getting a student loan to pay off my car loan plus a little extra so i have no car payments for a few years until i graduate.(since my dad is paying for my school). then im gonna save over the summer n buy a KB.
