It means the wheel is hopping...
It's quite a literal meaning. Means the tire is literally bouncing on the pavement. Anytime the tire is not in contact with the road, that's a bad thing. No contact means lost traction, whether it's in cornering or straight line performance. It hurts in drag racing, since any time spent off the pavement is time not gripping and driving the vehicle forward.

that could be it. But I'm tellin ya the one turn we went on fast enough the back tires hopped about a foot out when we took the tires. And what you're saying about the fox body could be right. My truck I had was real light in the rear end obviously and had a bad issue with that when I was assin around with some buddies. mine had a soft suspension with the lift that was on it so we were tryin to hop front tires haha

hey copr i know exactly what you mean, when i used to drive my 94 vette on the highway, every corner that had a bump would almost land me in the next lane over. that car's suspension was like F-1 stiff
