Default Buying a S/C

I recently came across a deal that is almost too good to pass up. I wanted to save my cash and buy a Vortech or KB. The deal I came across is this: P1SC PROCHARGER with 500 miles on it, 8lb pulley, 3 core intercooler, all tubing, gaskets, clamps, etc, diablo chip, walbro 255, anderson powerpipe, 42 lb injectors, and a mass air calibrated for 42lb. I can pick this up for about $2k or I can trade my 88GT for it. Do you think this would be a good pickup, or should I buy new? Also, what kind of numbers could I expect with this setup plus my current mods?

You caught yourself a nice deal. I rather have a KB myself, but for $2,000 or a trade, I would buy that Procharger in a heartbeat, well if I had the cash.

Nanaki... kinda off topic...but I seen in another post that you said it was gonna cost you $3600 to forge your bottom end. That just parts? Or labor and all?

Also, what kind of numbers should I expect with the Procharger? Can i hit 400rwhp?

theres a guy on this forum running that same kit but with a 2core intercooler and he makes like 417rwhp and 423rwtq i believe. on 8psi.

yep u WILL hit past 400 rwhp. u are looking at a stage II kit....even though its got the 8 lbs pulley. im thinking u will push anywhere from 400-445. but hey definitely get it cause if it only has 500 miles its just been broken in. I just broke in mine a week ago and i aint selling it for no 2000 dollars. Also i would find out why hes selling it for so cheap? It is a friend of urs or what? well be careful and enjoy.

it's actually gonna cost a lot more than that. it'd be almost $3000 alone just for a new short block with forged internals. then another $3000 for the install, parts and tune.

I would definitely act on that deal. My friend just bought his procharger P1SC yesterday with everything you just stated pretty much and paid 3,600 dollars for it so I'd say your coming out with a really good deal considering even if he did put 500 miles on his and sell it he would still sell it for more than 2,000 dollars.

well that seems like a badass deal! I am currently getting a student loan to pay off my car so i dont have payments til outta school and im gettin a lil extra and a s/c is definetly in my future. this spring or summer. now if i come across a deal like the one he found id buy it!! but what all supporting mods do u need with a vortech/procharger. i know the KB comes with everything u need. but for the others u need injectors, fuel pump, and a dyno tune or do ya need more?

Probably gonna need a bigger mass air calibrated for the injectors too. Other then that I think what you listed would be ok. Then after that every mod you add is good for more power compared to N/A motors.
