Default Need your expert advice

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and wanted to ask for your advice. I have a 96 Mystic cobra and only have a K&N filter, MGW, and flowmaster mufflers. I'm not able at this time to purchase a Vortech S-trim, but that is what I'm planning later on. What are the best mods I can do in the mean time to give me some power? I'm located in Albuquerque, NM and it just seems that since I arrived here, my stang just isn't running the same. I've had some people say just to get some NOS, but I really don't even want to mess with that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.............thanks in advance.

Gears. Best bang for the buck.

4.10's 4.30's or 4.55's

The car will still be streetable.

But.........you will have to rethink the gears again when you get the blower.

Since you are in NM, hop over to I think....Roswell and get HP Performance to get you a TT setup for the Cobra. That would be hawt!!!!

ok seriously, the nitrous(NOS is a brand of nitrous) will give you the best bang for your buck HP increase. You can go up to about 100 shot safely with a good tune and a stock engine. Other than that, get midpipe and headers to finish off the exhaust, then intake work such as Throttle body and plenum. You could also then get a chip for it too. That should keep you busy until you get the blower.
