tonight i went to the track for the 1st time in my 02 GT 5 speed coupe. The only mods i have are MRT offroad and Ravin mufflers. I have never been down a dragstrip either. It was an adrenaline rush!!!. I know ill get better with time. Here are my numbers with a crappy as hell reaction time. I know i need to work on that.

Forget the R/T...work on that 60'. Your R/T will have no effect on your 1/4 times. Congrats on your first run.

there was a guy there tonight in a mystic cobra running i think 1.72 60' and 11.32 in the 1/4

I ran consistent 1.61-1.65's on the motor and 1.5's on the juice. With my new set up, I will be low 1.5's on the motor and 1.3's on the juice.

2 sec 60's are average for a normal driver in a stock-ish GT. A good street tire 60' in a stockish GT would be around 2 flat. I was doing 2.2s my first time out as well. I think I got down to 2.1s on some maypop Falkens. Racin' is too much fun.
