Put your money in the bank, or pay off your credit cards. Better yet...just sent the 10K to me.

sell the gt get a cobra. Now you have a supercharged 4v engine to work with, not a little 2v engine.
2V<4V

by the way guys...thanks for the input.......to some of you who replied...i dont have any bills due...the car is paid off...it is still brand new with only 2900 miles...yes thats it...mint condition....i only drive it on nice days, and in the summer...unfortunately i could not find a cobra with the same qualities as my GT...plus i wanted a car brand new with no miles...yes im picky....so i have to deal with what i got...but after 2 years with the car, i feel im not satisfied with the power...so i need more...oh yeah, i didnt work long and hard to save for something else...this is why i saved 10 grand....for my car

I would go with the following:

SC KB would be nice
Long Tube Headers
Gears 3.73s
Stage 2 cams
Springs & Shocks, Lower Control Arms, Sub-Frame Connectors
Big *** Tires for the Rear

ORIGINAL: 1stgear

I have an 04 GT vert....and I have 10 grand to spend on it....I have been doing a lot of research on getting a Kenne Bell 2.2 put on it at Kennedy's Dynotune near buffalo,ny....seeing how its the only reputable mustang shop in all of upstate NY....i think? Anyways...the KB blower...also I want to have the motor rebuilt with all forged internals...so I can run more boost without blowing the s*** out of it...seeing how there's a limit on what you can do on a stock block....i would also like a beefy cam/head combo....now i knowall thiswill cost more than what i got....ideas/opinions are appreciated...anyone who had something similar done...share there experience....the cost/quality? what should i anticipate?.......by the way the car is all stock except for bassani xpipe/borla catback and accufab TB/plenum and JLT cold air

The problem that you will soon see is that the 2.6 kb (as they dont sell the 2.2 anymore) will cost you pretty close to 10k alone so you will not be able to get a new engine. The 2.6kit with install and dyno tune (and supporting parts like new TB etc.. to be able to run the 2.6l KB) will run you close to 7k-8k. Plus you have to get a new hood (plus paint) to be able to fit that model s/c in your car... plus you should get at least a couple of guages (boost, fuel, etc...).. and that is all just to be able to run the supercharger.. now you should probably get a new clutch since running 420 or so ft lbs of instant torque will not be great for your stock clutch.. add all that up and see how much you actually have left out of that 10k.. My guess not much... believe me I have priced this out many times... with all that said I still think it would be a kick *** project but just letting you know that you will not have enough for the engine and the 2.6KB.... and if you do decide to do it then make sure that is the car you are planning of keeping for aVERY long time.

also keep in mind that once you get past the 450-500rwhp mark you are going to have to spend LOTS of money getitng a new fuel pump .. cobra gas tank ... new transmission.. new rear end... new engine... new suspension...etc.. to be able to support that much hp...so if you don't plan on doing all that then just save your money and get the 2.1L KB instead of the 2.6l.
