Injector Woes....
Well I thought I blew a piston today when my car started white smoking badly. Had to have somebody take me to work and sat at work thinking about how I am going to cough up 5K for a new engine. I came home and pulled the plugs and found that the front cylinder on the passenger side was the cause of my trouble. The plug was soaked in gas so I put a new plug and a new coil on and the problem still existed. So I pulled the injector and noticed the three jets in the bottom of the injector were gone.....So luckily I have a set of 60 lb injectors in the garage. I put one in and the problem is gone for the most part and at least I can baby it to work and home tomorrow. I called summit racing about the problem and he said he had never heard of this before but he would gladly exchange them. The injectors were the cheaper summit brand and I asked if I could just get the FRPP injectors instead. Not only were they very easy to deal with but he evengave me Sat. delivery for free!! I just thought I would let everyone know that they should think twice about skimping on the better name brand stuff. I would gladly pay the extra $100 anyday than have to deal with this.....
