3:73s on Supercharged Stang
Hi again Fellas,
Here's my question. I have a 01 S281sc with stock rear end. I think the stock gears are 3:27s. I want to put on my 3:73s. How much of a change in speed will this cause? and is it safe to run the 3:73s with the stock Saleen series II blower? and do you think it's woth the swap? I don't have a programmer so I'll have to wait on reprogramming the computer. Thanks.

RE: 3:73s on Supercharged Stang
it would be alittle pickup, i wouldnt do it myself if your car is an everyday driver... 3.73 in my car runs about 2300 rpms at 65mph, so even highway mpg are crap... i wouldnt think the blower would matter but im not too sure... your speedometer will be off until you get it programmed... its kind of a bitch really...but you will get used to it... if it were me, ide do it if it wasnt a daily driver, but for a daily driver i would leave it how it is

RE: 3:73s on Supercharged Stang
Thanks for all the input guys! I had 3:73s in my 98 V6 and saw a little change, I bought these 3:73s for my 02 GT but ended trading it in for the 01 S281SC. I was just worried if it was ok on a boosted car. I see/read about cobras doing it all the time but they are a whole different beast.
