MSD or ACCEL COP's

RE: MSD or ACCEL COP's
Summit Racing is now advertising their own brand of COPs with the solid SS cores. The price is very good, but I worry about quality. I went to the store in Atlanta, but they didn't have them in stock for me to inspect a set.
On another note, I did buy their UDPs for my wife's '07 Sport Trac w/4.6 3V. I'm trying to do the install this week, so wish me luck.
(I'm on R&R from Iraq this week)

Havingexamined stock, MSD, and Accel COPs side-by-side on my bench, I can say that other than the color (and pretty stickers on the aftermarket units) there is no dicernable difference in appearance, weight, or apparent design, manufacturing quality, or DC resistance of the primary and secondary windings. In fact theyare so much alike, right down to mold lines in the housings on the Accel and MSD, thatit raised oursuspicions as to whether there is any difference between those two brands? There seems to be an element of the "if it costs more it must be better" placebo effect at work here...[/blockquote]
