if you cut too much your ride will be worse. ive always used the rule anymore than 1.5 coils is too much.

I cut 1.5 coils off the front I can just fit 2 fingers between the top of the tire and the fender and the ride is not bad at all it does feel stiffer but it's nothing like what alot of whiners had been talking about. Overall I'm quite satisfied considering it cost me $5 for a cut-off wheel a few hours and a few drops of blood (it never fails I'll always cut myself working on the car). My question is, having cut 1.5 coils on the front, how many should I cut off the rear to have the same wheel gap as the front? I am cutting stock 04 GT springs.

Ive got an 04 GT vert and mine is stock and sits lower than any of the older years ive seen. Some of them just are insane how high they sit. I really would like to lower mine about an inch but with the roads here and the hills I just cant do it but its ok cause like I said, I dont sit near as high as the older years..

I cut 1.5 coils front and rear and have just enough wheel gap to stick 2 fingers between the tire and the fender in the front and in the rear I'd say about 2 fingers and maybe another .5 inch clearance. The ride is stiffer than stock for sure but not unbearable. Next I'll get a set of fox body struts (they are slightly shorter than stock) and some cc plates (I've got a little more neg camber). Overall I'm satisfied with results and my Mach 1 lip will surely double as a snow plow this winter LOL.
