Default where to start with the modding

hey folks, i've got a 98 gt that i've had for a while but have just recently taken it out of the garage again. i'm lookin to get around 300 hp out of it (it's presently stock), maybe a little less - just want to pep it up a bit.

what's the best way to go about this ?--that does not include FI of any sort or nitrous

PI swap? wont put you at 300 though, but you could run with new edge stangs.

pi swap is expensive but mandatory eventually. I would start withcai, exhaust headers and all and a set of 3.73 or 4.10 gears cuz its been sitting in the garage I would also replace the fuel filter and give it a basic tune up then see how you feel. If not satisfied then do the pi swap

CAI intake,TB/Plenum, port/polish heads, cams, LT's, O/R x-pipe, and acatbackMIGHT get you over 300 rwhp on your non-pi motor.

NPI?

A PI swap would put you around a stock edge GT. Then throw in the stuff mentioned above and you'll be around 300rwhp.

OR,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

You can go FI for about the same amount that it would cost for all of the formentioned bolt ons and reach your 300 rwhp goal.

+1 on skipping the b.s and getting a blower. You'll probably spend about the same, and it'll be way less hassle.
