Tuner with no dyno
What do you guys think? Dude's a great tuner but does not have a dyno!

RE: Tuner with no dyno
Then how does he know what the A/F ratio is? I would not chance it with a forced induction car.

RE: Tuner with no dyno
Honestly if he not using a dyno, he's not that good. I have people claim to be great tuners or to had thier cars tuned by supposed great tuners all the time, I out the car on the dyno and usually find power for them and drivability.

RE: Tuner with no dyno
You dont need a dyno for A/F ratio.Thats why they make widebands. You can make it completly safe without a dyno you just might not get max power.( like 5hp off)

RE: Tuner with no dyno
Mine wasn't dyno tuned and it runs very strong....
He datalogs it and street tunes it... as long as he can keep his eye on your A/F your car will be fine... The datalogging will show your A/F... |
RE: Tuner with no dyno
finding a place that will tune on a dyno is easy, id rather pay a little extra then get a "street tune" then you know everything is fine, plus if they tune and dont have a dyno do you think they will back up there tune if something goes wrong
